Research Saves Lives in Natural Disasters !

The Smart Structure Lab. at Keimyung University is studying ways to improve local earthquake disaster recovery capabilities. In particular, we are conducting various researches on seismic design methods for buildings & bridges, and big data and AI-based disaster management platforms for urban earthquake disaster prevention. Our research is dedicated to safeguarding human life and property from increasingly frequent and complex natural disasters.

  • Seismic Isolation & Vibration Control

  • Sustainable Structural Systems

  • Optimum Structural Configurations

  • Natural Inspired Seismic Design

  • Vibration Structural Health Monitoring of Railway Transit

  • Urban-level Earthquake Disaster Prediction & Mitigation

  • Earthquake Disaster Management Platform (Ergo-EQ, IN-CORE)

  • National and Urban Level Earthquake Disaster Resilience Strategies

The Smart Structure Lab. maintains key national and international research collaborations, detailed below. Our organization is highly proficient in constructing robust frameworks for earthquake disaster prevention and resilience.
